Reference verification
Reference verification interviews a candidate's personal or professional references with a standard set of questions, so you get consistent, documented insight into character and qualifications. $10 per reference.
How to order
- 1Toggle Reference checks in the add-on grid when building your order.
- 2Choose how many references to contact — 1, 2, or 3.
- 3Submit the order — the candidate is asked for their references' details in their application.
If the reference card isn't selectable on your account, contact support to enable it.
What the candidate provides
- Each reference's name and contact details
- The application includes a dedicated references step when reference checks are ordered
What results show
- Each reference interviewed with the same structured question set
- Documented responses in the report, one section per reference
Pricing
- $10 per reference — two references cost $20, three cost $30
- You set the count per order, so you only pay for what the role needs
Common delays
- Unreachable references are the main delay — accurate phone numbers and emails from the candidate prevent it
- Ask candidates for professional references who managed or worked directly with them
