Assess is Ethur's automated adjudication engine: it filters criminal records against your hiring criteria before a human ever opens the report. Three tiers trade price for how much manual review they eliminate.
The three tiers

How it works
- 1Define your rules once: which offenses matter, how old is too old, and which roles they apply to.
- 2Every incoming report is scored against those rules automatically.
- 3Reports that pass your rules are marked clear; the rest are queued for human review in the Assess queue.
From the queue, your team can clear candidates, start the pre-adverse process, and send final adverse notices — all tracked in one place.

What it doesn't do
- Assess never makes the hiring decision — it applies your criteria consistently so your team only reviews what matters
- It filters criminal records; it doesn't evaluate verifications, credit, or other report sections

Yes — criteria are yours to update as your policy evolves. Reports can be reprocessed against updated rules.
Which tier should we start with?▼
Lite is a good default for simple criteria. Move to Standard or Premium when you need category-level control or higher review reduction.
