Identity verification
Identity verification confirms the person completing the screening is who they claim to be — before any records are searched. It combines secure document review, a live selfie check, and device and location validation to stop impersonation and hiring fraud.

How to order
- On Essential and Complete it runs automatically — nothing to configure
- On Basic, toggle the ID & Biometrics add-on in the order flow
What the candidate does
- 1Opens their invite on a phone or computer with a camera.

- 3Takes a live selfie for the biometric face match.
No app download — everything runs in the browser.

Common problems
The candidate's ID photo failed — what should they do?▼
Most failures are lighting or glare. Ask the candidate to retake the photo in good light on a plain background; they can retry from the same invite link.
Which IDs are accepted?▼
Government-issued photo IDs such as driver's licenses and passports. If a candidate's document type isn't accepted, contact support.
