Personal background checks

Confirm personal-screening availability, scope, price, and approved ordering access before purchasing a check on yourself.

Before purchasing

  • Ask Ethur support for the current personal-check process and scope. Do not assume customer registration is the personal ordering flow.
  • If you are completing an employer or landlord request, use its invitation instead; a personal order does not complete that request.
  • Compare offered searches and charges before ordering.

Review limitations

  • Your personal report may differ from another organization’s search scope, sources, and date.
  • A personal report does not guarantee an employer will accept it or that you will be approved.
  • Ask about approved sharing and dispute options rather than emailing report files.

Get help safely

  • Do not send SSNs, IDs, bank details, medical information, passwords, verification codes, or report files through ordinary email or public chat. Ask support for an approved secure channel if evidence is needed.
