How to read a report

Every Ethur report opens with a summary and then breaks results down by search type, so you can scan the verdict first and dig into details only where it matters.

Report structure

  • Summary — overall status and each section's result at a glance
  • Identity — SSN trace, address history, and alias names found
  • Criminal — county, state, national, and federal results, each with its own status
  • Verifications — employment, education, and license results with source details
  • Add-ons — MVR, credit, or sanctions results when ordered

Reading a record

When a search returns a record, the report shows the source, jurisdiction, offense details, and disposition — plus how the record was matched to the candidate. Records are matched on multiple identifiers, not name alone.

If anything is unclear, the support team can walk you through a report before you make a decision.
