Consent and disclosure
Before you order a background check, the FCRA requires two things from the candidate: a standalone disclosure and written authorization. Ethur collects both as part of every invite.
What compliant consent looks like
- The disclosure is its own document — not buried in an application
- It clearly states a background check will be run for employment or leasing purposes
- The candidate signs the authorization electronically before anything runs
What Ethur handles for you
- Compliant disclosure and authorization forms presented in the candidate invite
- E-signatures captured and stored with the order
- State-specific disclosures added automatically where required
Consent records are kept with each order so you can produce them if ever audited.
