Candidate MCP · Portable verified identity

Verify once.Trusted everywhere.

The Candidate MCP is a portable, candidate-owned identity layer. After a candidate links payroll, bank, and biometric ID one time, they can re-use that triple-verified profile across any Ethur-powered employer — with explicit, scoped consent each time.

/ The reality

Candidates are tired
of starting from zero.

Every job application asks for the same data: ID, payroll, bank, references. Then it sits in some vendor's database the candidate can't see or control. The Candidate MCP flips it — the candidate owns the verified profile and grants scoped access to each employer.

Without Ethur
  • Re-uploading the same ID and paystubs every application
  • Linking payroll and bank for every new employer
  • Vendor-locked data the candidate can't see or revoke
  • Slow time-to-offer because verification restarts each time
  • Drop-off when candidates abandon long forms
With Ethur
  • Verify once, re-use across every Ethur employer
  • Candidate sees what's shared, with whom, and when
  • Per-employer consent that's revocable in one tap
  • Sub-minute re-share to a new employer
  • Higher candidate completion, faster offers

What lives
in the MCP.

Identity claims

Government ID, biometric match, and address — verified once, reusable with proof.

Employment history

Payroll-direct employment, title, and tenure — kept fresh by the candidate's live payroll connection.

Income & financial signals

Bank-direct income and deposit history, sharable in scoped ranges (last 3 / 6 / 12 months).

Education & credentials

Verified degrees, licenses, and certifications stored with their issuing source.

Criminal & sanctions

Most-recent search results with re-pull on demand for stale data.

Consent receipts

An immutable log of every employer the candidate shared with, what was shared, and when.

/ How it works

Candidate-first.
Consent-first.

The MCP is built on the principle that the candidate is the source of truth — and the gatekeeper to their own data.

01

Candidate creates a profile

Once, on their first Ethur-powered application. They link payroll, bank, and ID, and the data is encrypted under their key.

02

Employer requests a check

The employer specifies exactly what they need (e.g., last 3 yrs employment, identity, criminal). The candidate sees the exact ask.

03

Candidate grants scoped consent

One tap to share, scoped to the request. The candidate can deny line items or set time-limited access.

04

Employer receives a fresh report

Ethur re-validates each shared signal against the source-of-record at request time — no stale data slips through.

/ Who it's for

Why portable identity
wins.

Faster offers

Sub-minute verification when a candidate already has an MCP profile. Offer accept rates jump.

Higher candidate trust

Candidates can see, audit, and revoke. That's a competitive advantage in a candidate-driven market.

Less PII to defend

You only hold what was shared, scoped to the role. Smaller blast radius if anything ever goes wrong.

Stops re-keying fraud

When the candidate's payroll connection is live, fake employer claims can't be inserted between applications.

/ FAQ

Common questions

Who owns the data?

The candidate. Ethur acts as a custodian; the candidate authorizes every employer share and can revoke at any time.

How fresh is shared data?

Live. When an employer requests data, Ethur re-pulls from the source-of-record (payroll, bank, courts) at request time.

What if a candidate revokes consent after hire?

Continuous monitoring requires its own ongoing consent and is configurable per employer policy. Revocation is logged and the employer is notified.

Is this 'open-banking for hiring'?

It's the same idea: a candidate-permissioned, source-of-truth-backed identity layer that's portable across employers and vendors.

Does the candidate pay anything?

No. The Candidate MCP is free for candidates and funded by the requesting employer's per-check fee.
